We had the most relaxing day, yesterday. It was one of those days that you want to save and remember when the rush of life begins again. Here's a picture I snapped of Dick resting on the back porch at my parents' home. Having the kids home (all three) and they were getting along well. They have become friends as they have gotten older. Something that is really nice to be around. I love this time in my life, before the boys have gotten out of the house and started their own lives. I want to take a mental snapshot of now. My Dad is flourishing during his retirement. He has kept himself busy with exercising, yard work, helping at Karen's school, teaching astronomy to the kids. Karen is planning on retirement this June, with mixed emotions. I guess when you have been a teacher/principal for so many years, it is in your blood and it is hard to give up.

Kathy, It's Christmas day and we are home for a few hours after being at my sister Susan's most of the day. We will go to my parents for dinner at 6. I just love reading your blogs. I feel like I am listening to your days just like when we were in Mack Hall. Merry Christmas!
Love,
Ann
